HOUSE MANAGER – LIVE OUT- REF 478

Duties include:-

• Managing the day to day running of the establishment to a very high standard
• Supervising all staff ,Service Engineers and Maintenance Contractors
• Reporting all emergency maintenance e.g. fire, TV and television systems to the Head Office
• Liaising with Security personnel
• Filling in timesheets for Domestic staff and Trainee House Manager on a weekly basis
• Organizing staff fire drill and testing fire alarm points
• Monitoring water temperature
• Descaling shower heads and taps
• Organising the cleaning  of Carpets and Chandeliers and replacing light bulbs

• Obtaining quotes for repairs, flowers, etc.
• Packing personal things and arranging them for shipping

• Organising service of A.C units, fridges and freezers, pumps and boilers, laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, alarms etc in liaison with the Head Office
• Checking televisions and Sky boxes are all in working order, new batteries in remote controls, TV channel guide displayed near televisions
• Checking telephone and internet systems, international call barring where appropriate, telephone guide displayed near telephones
• Liaising with Gardeners about indoor/ outdoor plants and hanging baskets

• Checking all drains and drainage systems are clear
• Organising window and patio cleaners, chandelier cleaners
• Spring cleaning all areas, ensure all beds made, lining paper in wardrobes and drawers etc

• Polishing silver and brass, washing all china and crystal
• Drawing up staff rotas
• Keep house fully stocked with food, toiletries etc

• Supervising breakfast preparation, light snacks, afternoon teas, parties, dinner parties, picnics etc
• Organising waste disposal
• Organising fresh flowers weekly or when required

• Managing expenses
• Liaising with Security and drivers
• Organising packing for departure, ensuring all boxes are clearly labelled with Family’s/ guests name
• Arranging luggage/ and boxes to be taken to the airport the day before departure or same day
