A Great Place To Visit In The Holiday Period
If you have never taken the opportunity to visit the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, now is a great time to do so. The Gardens are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Kew Gardens consists of acres of grounds and you can see and enjoy one of the world’s largest collections of plants.
Visitors can walk around at their own pace or join one of the daily free guided walking tours. Some of the highlights to catch are the Azalea Garden, Minka House and Bamboo Garden in the centre of the park.
For a walk with BIG difference venture onto the 59 feet high Rhizotron and Xstrara Treetop Walkway….through the crowns of Oak trees!
There is the 10-storey Pagoda where you can see trees over 130 years old. And don’t forget the Temperate House, the world’s largest surviving Victorian glasshouse.
