Care Chiefs’ Worry Is Our Worry!
With a recent survey showing that nine in ten care chiefs are worried about how they will cope over the winter attention is again focussed for many families on the issue of long term care for elderly relatives.
The Association of Directors of Adult Social Services has said they “are desperately lacking the sustainable long-term funding needed to provide vital services that will allow us all to live the dignified lives we want to lead.”
An option, which admittedly is not open to all for financial reasons, is the relative staying in their own home with
either a live-in carer, or daily visit carer.
The benefits for the person to stay in their own home are substantial.
On several occasions, care homes which have been carefully chosen for their standards, close for numerous reasons.
Having moved into a care home, the last thing a resident needs is to worry about where they will be in the future.
And that is where we come in, with decades of experience of putting the right people together to ensure that elderly parents and relatives spend either all their days, or as long as possible, within the comfort of their own home, with reassurance and confidence in a carer who is dedicated to their needs.
Regrettably it is not, as we have said, available to everyone, but the point is you don’t know until you investigate.
