Care of elderly in the spotlight again
Care of elderly in the spotlight again. New research shows that almost half a million carers for elderly, ill or disabled relatives have quit in the last two years due to the pressures involved.
Carers UK, the main membership charity in the United Kingdom for carers, says that the number of people now balancing work and caring has risen from three million in 2011 to five million.
Faced with such pressures, those in a position to do so are looking hard at new options, without turning to residential care.
Increasingly, those requiring such care and their relatives are looking for alternative routes. One such option is the provision of skilled, experienced carers providing care within the home of those requiring care. They can be on a live-in or daily visit basis.
With Care of elderly in the spotlight again why not get in touch. At The Graham Agency we have been meeting the needs of clients requiring a full range of domestic and household staff, including carers, for over 30 years. Before electing to choose a nursing home, speak to us.
