Controversial Vaccination Requirement……
For Care Workers Draws Nearer
There has been considerable controversy about the planned compulsory vaccination requirement for front line health and care workers since it was first mooted.
However, staff in these categories in England must have had their first Covid-19 jab by 3 Feb to ensure they’re fully vaccinated when new regulations come into force on 1 April.
Failure to provide official evidence of vaccination or exemption will lead to redeployment or dismissal.
There has still been no clear information as to whether care staff who provide care for employers who continue to live in their home are included or exempt from this regulation.
