EU Workers’ Right To Work In The UK Will End

Completely free movement of people will end when the UK leaves the EU, according a new government white paper.

The decision will be a blow to many employers and potential employers of domestic staff.

A white paper published mid-July lays out in 104 pages many of the details of the agreement reached in July by the Cabinet.

Free movement of people from the EU to the UK will end, the white paper says, when the UK leaves the EU. The white paper also says that while details of future migration policy will be decided in the months to come, the UK will seek to still attract the “best and brightest” from the EU.
