New Sick Pay Rules for Those Contracting Covid-19

As the government’s rules for living with Covid-19 have changed, so has the previous procedure for paying statutory sick pay (SSP).

Now if you contract Covid-19 and are unable to attend work you will no longer be eligible for SSP from the first day of your illness.

Instead, you will receive  sick pay on the fourth consecutive day of  your  illness, in line the normal SSP rules.
