New Sick Pay Rules For Those Contracting Covid-19

As the government’s rules for living with Covid-19 have changed, so has the previous procedure for paying statutory sick pay (SSP).

Now those who contract Covid-19 and are unable to attend work will no longer be eligible for SSP from the first day of their illness.

Instead, they will only receive their sick pay on the fourth consecutive day of their illness, inline the normal SSP rules.
