Shared Parental Leave

When shared parental leave was introduced recently in the UK, the degree of take-up was unknown and potentially worrying for employers of domestic and household staff.

It appears there is still confusion about the take-up levels. One recent survey has put the figure as low as 1 %, while two others have put the figure at 30% – quite a difference.

It would seem that more research needs to be carried out to ascertain the true rates. Meanwhile, if you, as an employer have personal experience of employees exercising their shared parental leave options, please let us know.
