How Much Should I Be Paying?

While it is true that payments to staff for aspects such as Maternity
Leave and Sick Pay are generally left to your relevant professionals to
administer, it is still useful to know yourself, particularly if an employee
raises a query.
There have been changes to both Maternity Leave and Sick pay
recently.
The following new rates became effective on 6thApril 2018.
The weekly rate of statutory maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental pay has risen to£145.18 for pay weeks commencing on or after 6th April 2018.
The weekly rate of statutory sick pay has also risen to £92.05 from 6 April 2018.
These figures represent the statutory minimum rates.
