Don’t Be The One in Twenty
Don’t be the one in twenty.
Despite considerable publicity regarding employer obligations to employees, including of course, domestic and household staff, too often the rules on paid holidays and payslip provision are flouted.
According to the Resolution ThinkTank, about one in 20 employees do not get paid holidays and one in 10 does not receive a pay slip.
Workers aged 25 and under are twice as likely to be underpaid the minimum wage that any other age group, while older staff – 65 plus are the most hit group to not receive full paid holidays, or pro rata in part-time.
The report is the start of a three year investigation by Resolution into the enforcement of labour market rules and regulations. It says its findings reveal the extent of illegal labour practices in the UK.
